Meet Our Team in Peru

Edwin Gonzalez

Edwin, our dedicated Peru Leader, brings over 50 years of business experience and wisdom to our team on the ground in Cusco. He oversees the daily operations of Peruvian Hearts in Peru and coordinates all of our volunteers and visitors. Edwin played a vital role in the adoption of PH founder, Ana, and began working with Peruvian Hearts shortly after its inception in 2003.

Jeannette Sotomayor

Jeannette, our Program Leader in Cusco, guides and mentors our PH scholars on a daily basis to help them maintain focus on their goals and priorities. She graduated from the National University of San Antonio of Abad of Cusco with a degree in Tourism and has always been passionate about helping and women.

Miriam Rivero

Miriam, our PH Psychologist, works with each of our PH scholars to help them overcome the traumas and obstacles that make accomplishing their dreams more difficult. After graduating from Andina University in Cusco with a degree in Psychology, she gained several years of experience as a psychologist before joining Peruvian Hearts. Miriam develops relationships of trust with our scholars and helps enable them to gain the courage and self-confidence they need to succeed.

Jessica Peralta Condori

Jessica, our PH Academic Advisor and one of our very own Peruvian Hearts alum, graduated from the National University in Cusco in early 2024 with a degree in Economics. She joined the PH Team in April of 2024. Her vision is to empower women through education, giving them the tools they need to transform their lives. Jessica works to support women in realizing their dreams through academic support and opportunities to achieve their best version of themselves.

Rossmery Valverde

Rossmery, our PH Accountant, joined the PH Team after graduating from the PH Program. She holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the Technological University of Peru and has more than 10 years of experience in Accounting and Administration, with a specialization in Human Resources from the National University of Mexico (UNMSM). Rossmery is responsible for budgeting and accounting at Peruvian Hearts, as well as providing personal guidance to our interns on various consultations and projects in Cusco.

Meet Our Team in Colorado

Danny Dodson

Danny, our Executive Director, has been serving Peruvian Hearts since 2007, after receiving his B.A. in Economics from Bates College. When he is not in Peru working with the team and leading insight trips for PH supporters, Danny works from PH HQ in Golden to ensure ongoing financial support for the NGO and that accomplishing our mission remains the top organizational priority. As an advocate for girls’ education and empowerment in Peru, he cherishes any opportunities to host PH supporters in Cusco.

Milagros Dodson

Milagros, our Director of Operations, joined the PH Team in Colorado at the beginning of 2018. After graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad la Catolica del Peru in Lima, she earned her MBA from EGADE Business School at the University of Monterrey. She gained valuable experience working twelve years for Kraft and Backus in Peru. Mily oversees daily operations in Colorado and is responsible for internship recruitment and selection. Creative innovation and a passionate desire and strong motivation to help others, are just a couple of reasons why Mily has become such an integral part of our team.

Demeaus Minnihan

Demeaus, our Development Lead, supports operations that keep Peruvian Hearts running and growing. She enjoys applying her Computer Science degree from the Colorado School of Mines and background in software development to refine processes in creative ways and promote sustainable operation.
